We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization committed to bringing awareness about the hidden dangers of the internet to our children and teens, such as cyberbullying, self-harm, cyberdares i.e. (Knock-out challenge, Blackout Challenge, fentanyl poisining and body shaming) and helping families cope with grief after losing a loved one.
At the Matthew E. Minor Awareness Foundation, we don't just believe in advocacy; we live it. Our proactive approach ensures that our mission to protect children online remains in action at all times.
We have established a nationwide memorial scholarship for college-bound students to further their educational goals for the future.
The Matthew E. Minor Awareness Foundation was created to honor 12-year-old Matthew E. Minor. He passed away on March 7, 2019. Matthew passed as a result of accidental asphyxiation from the Choking/Black-out challenge on YouTube & TikTok
Matt, as he was affectionately known, was the kind of kid who helped anyone he met. He showed the new kids around the school. He was considered the "ambassador" of his academy for his likability and openness.
We sincerely believe that with your help, we can raise awareness about cyberbullying, cyber-dares, blackout challenges, and Knockout challenges. We strive to raise funds for our nationwide scholarships, helping college-bound students achieve their future educational goals with scholarship money.
